Georgia Sea Turtle Center! The Center is open to the general public and offers an interactive Exhibit Gallery and Rehabilitation Pavilion with a number of view-able sea turtle patients. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is a hospital for ill and injured sea turtles. Christmas Twilight Tours, 2017. Exclusive to the holiday season, enjoy a special evening trolley ride through the National Historic Landmark District highlighting the story of Christmas on Jekyll Island. This popular family-friendly music event takes place at Gascoigne Bluff on St. Simons Island. Each month, the proceeds from Second Sunday benefit a variety of select local charitable organizations. Christmas at Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation. This magical experience will demonstrate how Christmas was celebrated on a Southern rice plantation during the 1850s. The Sea Island Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K are all run on Sea Island. Race entries are limited and early registration is suggested. Brunswick Christmas Parade! This annual community parade starts at 5:30 p.m. at Howard Coffin Park. Over 100 floats, vehicles, walking groups and marching band units make their way one mile down the length of Gloucester Street to Mary Ross Waterfront Park in the heart of the Old Town National Register Historic District.
