Second Sundays:
This popular family-friendly music event takes place at Gascoigne Bluff on St. Simons Island. Each month, the proceeds from Second Sunday benefit a variety of select local charitable organizations. Hundreds of music fans, families, friends – locals and visitors alike – who converge on the park armed with lawn chairs, blankets and coolers, enjoy listening to the live music. Raffle tickets are sold for door prizes contributed by area businesses. Kids can play in the inflatable bounce house and slides. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled community event! 1 to 7 p.m.

Annual Brunswick Christmas Parade, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Come enjoy the annual Brunswick Christmas Parade. The Parade starts at Coffin Park and makes it’s way West on Gloucester to Mary Ross Waterfront Park. The reviewing stand will be in front of Customs House / City Hall at 601 Gloucester St. Santa Claus makes an appearance at the end of the parade and distributes free bags of candy afterwards at Mary Ross Park. The Floyd Faust Memorial Turkey Shoot! This is a great family event. No shooting experience needed. Bring your shotgun or use one of ours just leave your personal ammo at home. We have shells for 12, 16, 20 and 410 gauge. $2 per shoot includes shells. Each shoot is made up of 12 shooters. One shooter from each shoot will win a certificate for a turkey. The Neptune Park Fun Zone is the place to putt, plunge and play on St. Simons Island. The whole family will enjoy an 18-hole miniature golf course. Open year round, the golf course offers fun for groups of any size ($7 per round, discounts available for large groups). Chef’s Demonstration at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. “Theme: Marinating, Rubs, & Smoking-Skirt Steak Salad and Smoke Chicken”. As the chef shows how to prepare two courses and the accompaniments, questions and comments are welcomed from the audience. Jazz in the Park – Elisha “Atlas” Parris is the featured artist at the final Jazz in the Park 2013 concert.
