Georgia Sea Turtle Center! The Center is open to the general public and offers an interactive Exhibit Gallery and Rehabilitation Pavilion with a number of view-able sea turtle patients. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is a hospital for ill and injured sea turtles. We are the only hospital of its kind in the state of Georgia. $7 for adults (13+ years). $6 for Seniors (65+ years). $5 for children (4-12 years). FREE for children 3 and under. $6 for Active Duty Military Personnel, College Students and Teachers (ID required). Prices include tax. Visitors under 16 years old must be accompanied by someone 18 years or older. In accordance with State Health Department regulations, all swimsuits must be covered. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Mondays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. During the months of December, January, and February, we are closed on Mondays. Second and Fourth Saturdays:
The Farmer’s Market at Sea Island. This event is held 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Market at Sea Island and features a variety of fresh produce, artisan products, vendors, live music and food samples and takeaways.

Second Sundays:
Second Sunday Benefit Concert. This popular family-friendly music event takes place at Gascoigne Bluff on St. Simons Island. 1-7 p.m. Each month, the proceeds from Second Sunday benefit a variety of select local charitable organizations. Hundreds of music fans, families, friends–locals and visitors alike–who converge on the park armed with lawn chairs, blankets and coolers, enjoy listening to the live music. Raffle tickets are sold for door prizes contributed by area businesses. Kids can play in the inflatable bounce house and slides. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled community event!

July 1–31:
The Neptune Park Fun Zone is the place to putt, plunge and play on St. Simons Island. The whole family will enjoy an 18-hole miniature golf course. Open year round, the golf course offers fun for groups of any size ($7 per round, discounts available for large groups). Cool off this summer at the Neptune Park Fun Zone pool ($7/day, open during spring & summer seasons). There is something for everyone, including a wading pool and water gym for the kids, lap lanes, and zero-entry access. All areas are constantly monitored by American Red Cross-certified lifeguards. Since a day at the pool works up an appetite, enjoy refreshments from our on-site concession stand while lounging poolside under an umbrella. Kids will love our state-of-the-art playground with swings, slides and much more. There are benches alongside for parents to watch the fun. Splish-splash it’s a Summer Waves bash! 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Join us as we kick-off of our 30th birthday season on Jekyll Island. This fun-filled day includes the official opening of Shark Tooth Cove, our brand new bigger & better kids’ zone, birthday cake, appearances by Summer Waves’ own Dolly the Dolphin, and special give-aways throughout the day. And when the sun goes down, we’ll have a spectacular fireworks display to round out the festivities. Get your splash on! A Little Light Music Concert featuring Still Cruzin’! Still Cruzin’ is an interactive party and show band with over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Members of the band have played with some of the best musicians in the world including the Drifters, James Brown, Percy Sledge, the Tams and the Temptations. Still Cruzin’ will play all the Motown and R&B hits on the biggest holiday weekend of the summer. Concert is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and tickets are $12 for adults; children under 12 and Keepers of the Light are admitted free of charge. Brunswick’s Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration! Bring the kids, tell your friends and neighbors, sharpen up your old-timey game skills! It’s time once again for the entire community to celebrate Independence Day with an evening of fun, fanfare, and fireworks. Brunswick’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration takes place in Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Downtown Brunswick starting at 7 p.m. There will be free watermelon slices for everyone, music in the air, and plenty of old-fashioned games like sack races, water balloon tossing, and hula hoop contests, along with fun prizes for the winners. Then at dark, a spectacular fireworks display explodes over the East River to the strains of patriotic music. Summer Comedy Tour! After bringing sold-out Comedy Tours to Ziggy’s for the past three summers, New Orleans-based comedian and St. Simons native Matt Owens returns with New York City comedians, Paul Hooper and Amanda Hurley, to St. Simons Island for a one-night-only show. The show will take place at 8pm (Doors open at 7pm) on Saturday, July 8th at Ziggy Mahoney’s, located at 206 Retreat Village. The Literary Guild of St. Simons Island “Coffee with the Author” series presents Chris Martin and This Gladdening Light: An Ecology of Fatherhood and Faith. Part memoir, part essay collection and part spiritual journal, this book offers a unique perspective on the interconnections of universal themes all told at the level of the ground. It is the winner of the Will D. Campbell Award for Creative Nonfiction. July 14-16:
The Golden Isles Arts and Humanities, Summer Classic Movies at the Ritz, is transforming into the Summer Classic Film Festival, a full weekend of classic films that will feature the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock and his favorite leading lady, Grace Kelly. The festival will take place July 14-16, 2017 with all three of the Hitchcock-Kelly films and other special events. On Friday, July 14, the Summer Classic Film Festival will kick off with “Dial M for Murder,” the first of the Hitchcock-Kelly collaboration. Preceding the screening will be a talk about the director and a delicious meal prepared by Indigo Coastal Shanty. On Saturday, July 15 at 4 pm, Mel Brooks’ delightfully silly parody, “High Anxiety” will be screened. Filmgoers can then take a break in one of downtown Brunswick’s participating restaurants for a special film meal and return to the Ritz by 7 p.m. to catch the highly suspenseful “Rear Window.” And on Sunday afternoon beginning at 2:30 pm, light refreshments will be served along with a short documentary on legendary costume designer Edith Head followed by the final film in the festival, “To Catch A Thief.” Weekend pass including Friday meal only $35/person. Handmade for the Hungry. Glynn Visual Arts supports our local food bank, America’s Second Harvest, through our pottery program in which we offer classes for students to come in & make a bowl then donate it to the Handmade for the Hungry/Empty Bowl Project. After the bowls are made and donated, the project culminates with a soup dinner at GVA in which individuals may come in & buy a hand made bowl to take home & receive a soup dinner & all the fixin’s. All proceeds from sales of the bowls & dinner are donated to America’s Second Harvest. It’s fun to make the bowls & fun to come to the dinner & see all the creativity in our community, knowing it’s for a great cause! The Literary Guild of St. Simons Island Film Series presents Hologram for a King, USA, directed by Tom Tykwer. Teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, U.S. businessman Alan Clay (Tom Hanks) tries to reverse his fortunes by landing a lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia. As Alan attempts to navigate his way through an unfamiliar culture, he unexpectedly finds romance. 7-9 p.m.  Also playing, Living is Easy, Spain, directed by David Trueba. Setting off to meet rock colossus John Lennon after learning that he is making a movie in Almeria, super fan Antonio picks up a pair of disaffected young hitchhikers enroute, giving rise to an unlikely friendship.
