Georgia Sea Turtle Center! The Center is open to the general public and offers an interactive Exhibit Gallery and Rehabilitation Pavilion with a number of view-able sea turtle patients. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is a hospital for ill and injured sea turtles. We are the only hospital of its kind in the state of Georgia. $7 for adults (13+ years). $6 for Seniors (65+ years). $5 for children (4-12 years). FREE for children 3 and under. $6 for Active Duty Military Personnel, College Students and Teachers (ID required). Prices include tax. Visitors under 16 years old must be accompanied by someone 18 years or older. In accordance with State Health Department regulations, all swimsuits must be covered. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is open to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Mondays 10 a.m.-2 p.m. During the months of December, January, and February, we are closed on Mondays. Explore the beach from the edge of the dunes to the low tide. Learn about sea shells, critters living above and below the sand, pull a small seine net through the shallows and see who swims just below the surface! Step into the salt marsh, get to know the fiddler crabs, periwinkle snails, & native plants along with their incredible adaptations for survival. East River Arts Market! This exciting new market will showcase unique and artistically designed merchandise and artwork at the Brunswick Farmers Market Pavilion on the second Saturday of each summer month, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Browse through a diverse array of arts, crafts, distinctive food, specialty items and more!

Second and Fourth Saturdays:
The Farmer’s Market at Sea Island. This event is held 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Market at Sea Island and features a variety of fresh produce, artisan products, vendors, live music and food samples and takeaways.

Second Sundays:
Second Sunday Benefit Concert. This popular family-friendly music event takes place at Gascoigne Bluff on St. Simons Island. 1-7 p.m. Each month, the proceeds from Second Sunday benefit a variety of select local charitable organizations. Hundreds of music fans, families, friends–locals and visitors alike–who converge on the park armed with lawn chairs, blankets and coolers, enjoy listening to the live music. Raffle tickets are sold for door prizes contributed by area businesses. Kids can play in the inflatable bounce house and slides. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled community event!

July 1–31:
The Neptune Park Fun Zone is the place to putt, plunge and play on St. Simons Island. The whole family will enjoy an 18-hole miniature golf course. Open year round, the golf course offers fun for groups of any size ($7 per round, discounts available for large groups). Cool off this summer at the Neptune Park Fun Zone pool ($7/day, open during spring & summer seasons). There is something for everyone, including a wading pool and water gym for the kids, lap lanes, and zero-entry access. All areas are constantly monitored by American Red Cross-certified lifeguards. Since a day at the pool works up an appetite, enjoy refreshments from our on-site concession stand while lounging poolside under an umbrella. Kids will love our state-of-the-art playground with swings, slides and much more. There are benches alongside for parents to watch the fun. July 1–31:
Summer Waves Water Park located on Jekyll Island, 210 South Riverview Dr., with 11 acres of splashing summertime fun for the whole family! Fireworks, after sunset, around 9 p.m. Witness the most spectacular fireworks in the Golden Isles. Arrive early to get your spot in the sand. Fireworks are best viewed from the beach between the Holiday Inn Resort and south to the Days Inn on the island’s oceanfront side. July 4:
Join the fun on Jekyll Island this 4th of July! Independence Day Parade, 9 a.m. The parade begins at the Jekyll Island Museum and passes through the historic district. Awards will take place following the parade. Participation in the parade is free, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun. July 4:
Brunswick’s Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration! Bring the kids, tell your friends and neighbors, sharpen up your old-timey game skills! It’s time once again for the entire community to celebrate Independence Day with an evening of fun, fanfare, and fireworks. Brunswick’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration takes place in Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Downtown Brunswick starting at 7 p.m. There will be free watermelon slices for everyone, music in the air, and plenty of old-fashioned games like sack races, water balloon tossing, and hula hoop contests, along with fun prizes for the winners. Then at dark, a spectacular fireworks display explodes over the East River to the strains of patriotic music. July 4:

July 4:
Sea Island 4th of July Celebration! Guests and residents of Sea Island celebrate the holiday at The Cloister and Beach Club. Enjoy a little fun in the sun at our Independence Day Pool Party and Family Pool Games, or set your pace alongside peaceful marshes for the Firecracker 5K. Decorate your bikes at our Parade Decorating Party, then join in on everyone’s July 4th favorite: the annual parade down Sea Island Drive. It’s a sea of red, white, and blue as a procession of decorated floats, classic cars, bicycles, tricycles, golf carts, and strollers. We go out with a bang, lighting up the night sky with a spectacular kaleidoscopic fireworks display at 9 p.m. The After Party carries the celebrations into the night with live music and late night snacks.
